VIGILUS holds a central place in my professional and technical journey.
I first worked with the Group between January 2022 and May 2024 in Senegal. This initial period allowed me to follow an upward trajectory: from IT support technician to digital project manager, then digital manager, and ultimately marketing and sales leadership roles.
After two years dedicated to other professional opportunities and building my own ventures (notably through KAMIT Digital Solutions), I rejoined the Group in May 2026 as Head of Digital Communications.
This return represents a major milestone. My scope is no longer limited to a single local entity. Alongside my team, I now oversee digital communications for multiple Group subsidiaries and support its expansion across several African markets.
I joined VIGILUS on January 15, 2022 as an IT support intern.
It was my first immersion within the Group. My daily responsibilities centered around internal IT needs: user assistance, system maintenance, technical troubleshooting, and software onboarding.
This initial position turned out to be an incredible school for understanding how the company operates from the inside. Above all, it enabled me to quickly identify opportunities beyond basic IT support:
Progressively, my responsibilities shifted toward product design and project management.
As Digital Project Manager, I began tackling broader software and product challenges. This stage reinforced a guiding principle I still follow today: understand the business problem before picking the technology stack.
A successful digital project does not start by blindly choosing React, Laravel, or WordPress. It starts with a simple question: what core problem are we solving for the user or the business?
This mindset led me to join Carré d’Or, the Group's real estate subsidiary which later became VIGILUS Properties, as Digital Manager.
In real estate, digital is more than support—it is a direct lever for commercial acquisition and asset promotion. I managed the full execution:
This experience solidified a key insight: a web interface is not an isolated aesthetic piece, but a strategic tool built to generate trust and measurable business results.
My progression continued into the role of Marketing and Sales Manager. This position forced me to look at products from a market perspective. As a developer, one tends to view software through features. Marketing demands different questions:
In May 2024, after completing this first chapter, I decided to step down to explore new technical and entrepreneurial paths.
Over two years, I expanded my expertise in modern software architecture, mobile development, enterprise software, and SaaS. Through KAMIT Digital Solutions & Innovation, I developed proprietary solutions across CRM, fleet management, field operations, and invoicing.
I fully transitioned from a "coder for hire" mindset to a product-driven approach: understand needs → structure data → design experience → measure impact → iterate.
When I returned to VIGILUS in May 2026 as Head of Digital Communications, the scale had grown exponentially. It was no longer about managing a single subsidiary in Senegal, but orchestrating digital communications across multiple countries and brands (Senegal, Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, etc.).
The main challenge: building a cohesive group brand identity while respecting the local nuances of each market and industry.
Alongside my team, I spearheaded the development and strategic redesign of the Group's web platforms:
Every platform caters to a specific user intent. Someone searching for real estate on VIGILUS Properties has entirely different goals than an industrial manager looking for electronic security on VIGILUS Facilities.
We integrate search engine optimization straight into the information architecture:
This project highlighted our end-to-end approach. On-site in Freetown for the official launch, I coordinated the entire digital and media strategy:
Leading a team across diverse brand entities requires balancing unified corporate brand strength with local subsidiary agility.
My trajectory at VIGILUS has proven that web development, UI/UX design, SEO, marketing, and communication are interconnected facets of a single discipline: creating digital value.
Code builds the systems, design provides clarity, SEO unlocks discoverability, and strategy turns visitors into clients. This holistic vision continues to drive my work daily at VIGILUS and across all my projects.
